New Blog: SB Nation Chicago: For Fans in the Windy City

"I’m very encouraged by the discussions and the course of action we’re taking." That's what Dan Beebe said at the conclusion of the Big 12 meetings in Kansas City.

Note that he talked about the course of action "we're taking." Not "that we've proposed" or "that we discussed." It sounds like he's brokered some kind of deal to keep the band together. We'll see how long it lasts. Listen to some people involved talk here.

Meanwhile at the SEC meetings, Chris Low says that he's been talking casually with coaches, ADs, and other school administrators about expansion. The two most common candidates mentioned? Texas and Virginia Tech.
