God bless you guys...

Weird sentiment to be throwing out at your rivals, but after watching the Texas League crap it does make me appreciate you guys a bit.

Star-divide

Sure, we hate each other's guts at times, but I'm not in the least bit worried about anyone jumping or trying to screw the smaller schools on the contract money.  Maybe my hopefulness will eventually be proven to be naivete, but even as a fan of a school who ranks in the top ten in total revenue and knows we could get more at the expense of some other schools...  I'm glad we don't pull bullshit like that because I don't want half the conference to be in a perpetual state of hopelessness in regards to their ability to compete.

Nearly everyone in the SEC should know what it's like to be down...  just imagine if getting out of the cellar required an act of god.

A FanPost gives the opinion of the fan who writes it and that fan only. That doesn't give the opinion more or less weight than any other opinion on this blog, but the post does not necessarily reflect the view of TSK's writers.

Agreed

We’ve got a pretty damn good setup. We’ll still fight but we’ll all make a buttload of money doing it!

and for the moment there's no such thing as a 16-team super conference

I've been making the same point on other blogs

Esp, the A&M blogs… pointing out how nice it would be to belong to a conference where we treat each other as equals and will generally, even on gameday, be not just civil but actually quite friendly. Wouldn’t trade it for anything.

And these shmucks who suggest booting Vandy or Arky for team X or Y… screw them. They don’t get that you don’t do that to family.

Furthermore, if anyone wants to leave, see you later… we don’t want you if you don’t like it here. Which is why there’s no financial penalty for skipping the conference.
