The Texas A&M Aggies scored a big commit on Thursday.

Connor Weigman, the fifth-ranked dual-threat quarterback in 2022, announced his commitment to the Aggies. Weigman made his intentions to go to A&M known on his personal Twitter account:

Connor is a native of Cypress, Texas and attends Bridgeview High School. He received offers from the Arkansas Razorbacks, Baylor Bears, Florida Gators and the Oklahoma Sooners among others prior to his commitment to A&M. He is the fourth hard commit to join the Aggies’ 2022 class, and all of them have thus far been from the state of Texas.

At this juncture, Weigman ranks 93rd overall in the 2022 class. In the talent-rich state of Texas, the dual-threat quarterback stands at 16th. And, amongst all dual-threats in 2022, he checks in at fifth. He is looking up at players like five-star Georgia Bulldogs commit Gunner Stockton and four-stars Ty Simpson, Gavin Wimsatt and MJ Morris.

With Weigman aboard, A&M’s class currently ranks eighth in the nation and third in the SEC. 2022 is currently led by the Ohio State Buckeyes, with the Georgia Bulldogs and LSU Tigers of the SEC ranks second and fourth overall at this point in time.
