The Florida Gators are making some personnel changes.
Bruce Feldman reports that defensive coordinator Todd Grantham and offensive line coach John Hevesy are being let go. These dismissals come in the wake of a dreadful performance by the Gators, who ate a 40-17 defeat from the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday night.

This shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise to anybody following the Gators. Grantham’s defenses have been less than stellar since he took over as coordinator. A change should’ve been anticipated, especially because of the way that things have transpired in Gainesville over the last few years. Especially this season, as they’re giving up over 350 yards per game and 5.4 yards per play.
Hevesy’s dismissal comes after spending several years with Mullen on several different coaching staffs. He was hired by Urban Meyer back in Bowling Green, where he began to work with Mullen. He then followed him on to Utah, Florida for the first time, Mississippi State, and then Florida again.
One has to wonder aloud if there will be more changes coming in Gainesville by the end of the season.
