The Georgia Bulldogs demolished the upset-minded Arkansas Razorbacks.
The 37-0 whomping that the Dawgs put on the Hogs was a reality check. Arkansas is a good team, definitely. They’ve gotten off to a great start to the season. But ‘good’ isn’t enough against the elite, and make no mistake: These Dawgs are elite.
Georgia’s defense was intent on putting a hurting on the Razorbacks. They were feasting, swarming, and dominating all afternoon. They pitched a shutout, and still haven’t given up an offensive touchdown this season.
Zamir White, meanwhile, scored three times. Two times, he plunged into the end zone for a TD. Another time, he recovered a blocked punt in the end zone that put UGA up 21-0 at the time. Zeus looked pretty Godly on Saturday between the hedges, much like many of his fellow teammates.
Georgia’s ass-kicking shouldn’t dim the lights too much in Fayetteville. They have a tough slate still ahead of them, but Arkansas is still on a good path. Spirits were very high after the Razorbacks knocked off the Texas A&M Aggies last week. This deflates things for sure, but you will take your lumps against the very best every now and then.
Arkansas draws the Ole Miss Rebels next in Oxford. Georgia, meanwhile, heads to Jordan-Hare to take on the Auburn Tigers in the SEC on CBS Game of the Week.
