The #20 Florida Gators are suddenly in a bit of peril. After opening the season 2-0, Florida has dropped two of their past three games to head into this game at 3-2.

Emory Jones has struggled to find consistent play this season, with five touchdowns to six interceptions. Jones has only had one game with more than one touchdown, picking up two touchdowns in Florida’s win over Tennessee two weeks ago. Jones also had a season-high 144 rushing yards in that game. The lack of consistency has been the most frustrating part of Jones this season, as the talent is clearly there.

To no real surprise, Florida’s rushing offense has led the way for the Gators this year. They come into Saturday with the third best rushing offense in the nation at 292 yards per game. Vanderbilt has allowed over 200 rushing yards per game this season, so the Gators will likely look to continue to establish the run early and often in Saturday’s game.

Vanderbilt comes into this game following a 30-28 win over UConn, a historically bad college football team. Ken Seals looked good in the win, with two touchdowns and 333 passing yards. They likely will not face similar success against Florida, but stranger things have certainly happened.
