Some 2019 SEC on CBS football broadcasts announced

You smell that? That’s anticipation.

Wednesday brought the arrival of some confirmations for the 2019 SEC on CBS schedule. The preeminent home for SEC football telecasts will be loaded with some quality matchups this coming season.

The first SEC on CBS telecast will feature the Alabama Crimson Tide taking on the South Carolina Gamecocks. That game will, as always, take place at 3:30 p.m. ET on September 14.

The ensuing week will see a doubleheader going down, with a 3:30 telecast and an 8 p.m. telecast. The slots are not necessarily confirmed yet, but there is an inkling to believe that the doubleheader could potentially feature the Tennessee Volunteers facing off with the Florida Gators, and then the Georgia Bulldogs hosting the Notre Dame Fighting Irish under the lights at Sanford Stadium. At least that’s the current buzz and rumor and innuendo. Nothing is confirmed yet, but that would be a fun sight to be hold, no?

Other confirmed matchups, per usual, are Georgia-Florida on November 2, Missouri-Arkansas on November 29, and the SEC Championship on December 7. What’s also intriguing is that the usual day for the matchup between the Alabama-LSU is not a primetime date. One of two things could potentially be happening here: Either that game will be at 3:30 p.m. ET for once, or ESPN will have a primetime spot for that game instead. Time will tell to see what happens there. Let’s keep our eyes peeled, though.
