The Alabama Crimson Tide and Clemson Tigers have met in each of the last three College Football Playoff. They will officially make it four times when they meet on Monday evening in Santa Clara, with the CFB Playoff Championship on the line.
The Tide, led by Tua Tagovailoa, will square up with the Tigers, led by Trevor Lawrence, in a matchup with uber-talented QBs at the helm. Don’t forget about the great defenses either, featuring Clelin Ferrell, Christian Wilkins, Quinnen Williams and Deionte Thompson among others. There’s great talent all over the place, and this matchup should deliver the goods like the other two previous title games have.
It’s not difficult to get caught up int he luster of it and while there’s certainly plenty of fatigue surrounding this game, this should still be a stellar game. All year long, these two teams separated themselves from the pack with little resistance. We saw how things went in the semis. Clemson ran roughshod on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Cotton Bowl, while Tagovailoa outdueled Kyler Murray and the Oklahoma Sooners in the Orange Bowl.
What more is there really to say? Let’s end the season on a high note.
