NCAA Bracket 2022: Auburn to face Jacksonville State in First Round

Auburn earned their high seed in the Tourney. Now it’s time to see what they can do with it.

Auburn is officially in the mix.

The Auburn Tigers are in the 2022 NCAA Tournament. This is their 11th appearance in the NCAA Tournament in the program’s history and the fifth of the 21st century. The last time they were in the event, of course, they made it all the way to the Final Four in Minneapolis. There, they lost to Virginia, but now they’re hoping for some better luck this time.

The highly-seeded Tigers earned their lofty spot after a 27-5 campaign this year. While they did lose to runner-up Texas A&M in the SEC Tournament final, Auburn more than earned their place. They went 15-3 in SEC play and at one point were 22-1 on the season. A late slide has them a little bit on their heels, but they’re ready to go.

Auburn will face 15-seeded Jacksonville State on Friday. TV info to follow.
