Better late than never right?

LSU landed an elite basketball recruit this past weekend. Five-star center Yohan Traore of Dream City Christian (Glendale, Ariz.) committed to Will Wade and the Tigers on Sunday. Traore revealed the news of his commitment to the Tigers on his Twitter account:

Traore, standing 6-foot-10 and at 225 lbs., is an elite prospect. He ranks 15th overall in the Class of 2022 rankings on 247Sports Composite. He is the top recruit in the entire state of Arizona and is ranked fourth amongst his peers at center. The only ones above him are Oregon commit Kel’el Ware, Duke commit Kyle Filipowski and fellow Duke commit and top recruit in the nation, Dereck Lively II.

He’s the second five-star recruit in the Class of 2022 for LSU. He joins Link Academy (MO) power forward Julian Phillips in that regard. With Traore, Phillips, and four-star Devin Ree out of Terry HS (MS), they have the 11th-ranked recruiting class in the nation at this juncture.
