SEC and A&M; is real; as of right now I'll say SEC 30 pct; Pac-16 70 pct
Joe Schad's odds on Texas A&M; to the SEC
Schad also thinks that it's entirely possible that the SEC adds Texas A&M; only to get to a 13-team league. I personally would be surprised at that, given that the 13-team format has given the MAC nothing but headaches when it comes to scheduling,

In the long run, no way in hell the SEC would go to 13. For a year, maybe two while we find the right 14th member… maybe.
What you're seeing is team spirit. It's like the Holy Spirit, but more powerful.

I'll go to my grave...
saying the best, most plausible package deal for Western expansion is A&M and Mizzou…

Mizzou
I doubt I’ll be talking about SEC expansion on my deathbed, but I do agree with this. Mizzou, surprisingly, brings a lot to the table. Especially the ability to punt Auburn to the East….

Best argument yet for inviting Mizzou to the SEC.
Though I agree, they bring a lot to the table.

Yea, I've pounding my fist at RBR
for this to happen. Good fit, and has a lot to bring to the conference.

I agree with Zoltar that there's no way we hold fast at thirteen.
If we get A&M, it’s A&M and an ACC team to be named later.
Naturally, I’d love it if Auburn were moved to the East, but, other than that pleasant side effect, I can see no benefit whatsoever to Mizzou.
Missouri made much more sense for the Big Ten than Nebraska for all the publicly stated reasons, but, when push came to shove, the Big Ten took the Cornhuskers. Why? Because Mizzou is a perennial underachiever that doesn’t control its own media market. It’s a paper tiger (you should excuse the expression).
Texas A&M would be a home run get. Missouri is an infield fly. If that’s the best we can do—-and make no mistake: it isn’t—-SEC expansion has already failed.

ESPN ran a complete smear job of pro-SEC A&M; faction earlier today.
They ran this complete bullsh from an anonymous UT hack:
Another source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to ESPN.com’s Andy Katz that Texas A&M was looking at the SEC, but the source said he is convinced the Aggies will end up in the Pac-10.
The source said the SEC consideration was fueled by “ego purposes” within Texas A&M, that the Aggies’ power brokers sought distance from the Texas decision and didn’t want to convey the appearance they were doing everything because of Texas.
DeLoss Dodds’ office has run a brutal, cutthroat, well-orchestrated smear job throughout the past week and Chip Brown was their useful idiot that got it started. They fed him with the scoop, the media flocked to it, and they have since fed the media, largely through Chip Brown and OrangeBloods with an endless stream of lies, threats, and defamation people at several schools.
