Setting the Scene: The SEC in the NCAA Baseball Tournament, Day 3

After two days of the NCAA baseball tournament, the SEC is 14-2. Only two of the eight teams that the conference sent to the bracket can be eliminated on Sunday; the other six teams would have to lose on Sunday afternoon and then again on Monday to be sent home. The SEC is in very good shape right now.

The next step for the teams that face elimination is to get through the last losers' bracket game and then try to sweep the 2-0 team in back-to-back games -- no small task. The other teams just need to split their final two games to move to the super-regionals, where two wins are all that stand between them and Omaha. As for Sunday's games:
