The Superdome in New Orleans will play host to this year’s College Football Playoff Championship Game.
In one corner are the Clemson Tigers. The Tigers, winners of the ACC, haven’t lost a game since the 2017 Sugar Bowl which, ironically enough, took place in the same place that this game will be going down of course. Trevor Lawrence remains unbeaten as a starter, and his Tigers, including offensive stars Tee Higgins and Travis Etienne, of course are the reigning CFB Playoff Champions. Lawrence and Co. have won 29 games in a row and defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Fiesta Bowl.
In the other corner are the LSU Tigers. You already know all about ‘em. Joe Burrow is the Heisman Trophy winner and soon-to-be #1 pick in the NFL Draft. Clyde Edwards-Helaire is a strong option out of the backfield. Ja’Marr Chase won the Biletnikoff Award and Justin Jefferson and Terrace Marshall Jr. have been doing the thing all year long too.
This figures to be one of the better National Championship Games in recent memory. Especially from a straight up talent standpoint. Let’s hope we get a good one and, for TSK’s sake, an LSU win would be pretty neat.
