The Arkansas Razorbacks coaching search has come to an end, and it will be a familiar face returning to Fayetteville, as Arkansas has hired Georgia offensive line coach and former Razorbacks assistant, Sam Pittman.
Excited to OFFICIALLY announce Sam Pittman as our new Head Football Coach. Great days ahead for the Hogs with Sam and Jamie as a part of the Razorback family again! #OneRazorback pic.twitter.com/763JrRrpaR

This is Pittman’s first head coaching job, but he has been an assistant at the collegiate level since 1994, with stops at Northern Illinois, Cincinnati, Oklahoma, Western Michigan, Missouri, Kansas, North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Georgia.
Perhaps more importantly is the fact that Pittman was Arkansas’ Recruiting Coordinator during his first stop in Fayetteville, so he has familiarity with recruiting.
There are always risks with a first-time head coach, but Pittman seems like the right man for the job at this juncture for the Razorbacks.
