The Dawgs have hauled in a top-flight tight end.

Oscar Delp announced he’d committed to the Georgia Bulldogs on Wednesday night. Delp, a four-star recruit in 2022, is the third-ranked tight end in the country per 247Sports Composite. He joins an already loaded class of blue-chippers heading to Athens next season.

Delp had plenty of offers from Power 5 programs. The Alabama Crimson Tide, Florida Gators, Michigan Wolverines, and South Carolina Gamecocks among others were in on him. Michigan figured to be the “closest” to Delp, but the Georgia native is staying home and heading between the edges.

Delp checks in 97th overall in 247Sports Composite and ninth in the state of Georgia. As previously mentioned, he’s the third-ranked tight end in the country right now. He only stands behind Alabama commit Jaleel Skinner and LSU Tigers commit Jake Johnson.

The Dawgs’ recruiting class currently ranks third in the nation.
