The Bulldogs keep rolling right along

The Georgia Bulldogs re-staked their claim of being the nation’s best team Saturday, picking up a 34-10 win over Auburn.

Bo Nix and the Auburn offense never really gave themselves a chance to make it a competitive game, kicking a field goal on their first drive and then throwing an interception, punting four straight times, and turning it over on downs to end the half in a 17-3 hole

On the other side of things, Stetson Bennett did enough to win, going 14-21 for 231 yards and two touchdowns. Zamir White added a pair of rushing touchdowns for the Bulldogs. Freshman Ladd McConkey made for an unlikely favorite target for Bennett, hauling in five passes for 135 yards and a touchdown.

Defensively, Georgia excelled with four sacks.

Part of what makes Georgia so tough is their ability to neutralize the running game. In Auburn’s case, Tank Bigsby was held to just 28 yards on 10 carries. As a team, Auburn managed just 46 rushing yards to 272 passing yards.

The Bulldogs remain undefeated and will host Kentucky next week, while Auburn heads to Fayettville to take on the Razorbacks.
