As Week 2 draws closer, the point spreads indicate that several SEC teams will be underdogs in high-profile nonconference games this weekend.

The Arkansas Razorbacks, Auburn Tigers and Georgia Bulldogs will all be in featured showdowns this Saturday. The Hogs host TCU, Auburn will travel to face Clemson and Georgia will venture to South Bend to battle Notre Dame.

As of now, all three are currently underdogs. Per OddsShark, Arkansas is a 3-3.5-point dog, Auburn is an underdog within the range of 4.5-5.5 points and Georgia is a dog within 4-5 points.

That isn’t how it all started, however. UGA opened as a 6.5-point underdog against ND, but the line recently shifted to the range we see now. The same can be said about Auburn-Clemson. Auburn opened as 9-point underdogs in the encounter, but the line was downsized to the 4.5-5.5-point range. And Arkansas, meanwhile, had been favored against TCU to start. The Hogs were just 2-point favorites, but the line shifted in the Horned Frogs’ favor.

Meanwhile, in the first SEC game of the year, Mizzou is favored over South Carolina by 2.5 points. The line opened with Mizzou being 3-point faves, so there wasn’t quite as drastic a cut as the others.

We’ll see how this plays out.
