There was a lot more decent football in September this year than most. This week is when we have to pay for it. Seven conference teams play I-AA teams this weekend, so get used to seeing the letters "PPV" together. When I saw that LSU-Ole Miss got the CBS honors this week, I got confused. Then I looked at the list of games, and I understood.
Like last week, there are two games on the SEC Network syndication package. Click the SEC logos (either one is fine) to see which game is on in your market.

LSU seems to have found its offensive footing, while Ole Miss just found a way to blow a game against Vanderbilt. Wait, are we sure this is the best "Game of the Week" candidate for reasons other than train wreck potential? *Checks again* Yep. Here's hoping Bo Wallace, Jeff Scott, and Donte Moncrief find a way to keep this interesting.

Lovely timing this was for the Catamounts. Have fun against an angry Alabama team!

On the one hand, Arkansas is fighting for its dire postseason chances. On the other, MSU is trying to see if it can match 2010's win total before the end of the regular season with a chance at 10 in the bowl. Maybe this one should have been the Game of the Week pick...

Try to put this one away before there are just two seconds left in the game, Gators. Seriously.

This is the kind of I-AA game I'm actually OK with. Everyone plays cupcakes, but spreading some financial love around within a state is a good thing.

Same here, as that's an Alabama A&M logo. You just hope Auburn can win this one. (Kidding.) (Mostly.)

It's like the SEC is Ebenezer Scrooge on Christmas morning and I-AA schools are Tiny Tim or something.

You can tell that Missouri joined the SEC late in the game because here it is playing a non-conference game against an AQ conference member in November. They'll get the hang of things soon. And they should try to avoid losing to Big East teams for the sake of everyone.

If Tennessee loses this one, I would be more surprised if Derek Dooley wasn't fired after the game than if he was. It would clinch a second straight season with no bowl and mean he will have no more than five SEC wins in his first three years. It would also give Vandy its seventh win with a chance for eight against Wake Forest. If Vandy has passed up Tennessee by that much, it's past time for a change.

The Joker Phillips farewell tour should net him a win in this, his last home game.
