13. Arkansas Razorbacks

Average: 13.0 | 13th Place Votes: 10 | Last Week: 13th (<—>)

“At least basketball season is coming soon.” — Mike McMurray

“Losing is one thing... losing to a first-time starting quarterback who’d been a wide receiver up until then? Big yikes, Arkansas.” — Chris Novak

12. Tennessee Volunteers

Average: 11.3 | Highest Vote: 10th | Lowest Vote: 12th | Last Week: 13th (+1)

“Stopped the bleeding vs. Mississippi State. It’s a steep uphill climb, but a bowl is still possible.” — Julian Mitchell

“Hey, they got a win!” — Mike McMurray

“That was as much needed a win as you could find this season. Good for you, Tennessee.” — Chris Novak

11. Mississippi State Bulldogs

Average: 11.2 | Highest Vote: 10th | Lowest Vote: 12th | Last Week: 8th (-3)

“You had a bye week to prepare for Tennessee! Going to be interesting to see where this offense goes from here.” — Julian Mitchell

“It looks more and more like they hired the wrong guy.” - Mike McMurray

“Repeating what was said above, Joe Moorhead doesn’t look like the guy here.” — Chris Novak

10. Kentucky Wildcats

Average: 10.3 | Highest Vote: 9th | Lowest Vote: 12th | Last Week: 11th (+1)

“It wasn’t pretty, but they got away with the W.” — Mike McMurray

8. Texas A&M Aggies

Average: 7.80 | Highest Vote: 7th | Lowest Vote: 8th | Last Week: 7th (-1)

“The next four against the Mississippi schools, UTSA and South Carolina are very winnable on paper. The trustworthiness of this squad will really be tested in these games.” — Julian Mitchell

“A&M’s played one of the toughest schedules in the nation. That being said, if they want to be taken seriously, they’ve gotta start winning these games.” — Chris Novak

7. South Carolina Gamecocks

Average: 7.20 | Highest Vote: 7th | Lowest Vote: 8th | Last Week: 9th (+2)

“I’ve said it before, but this front 7 is NASTY. There’s no reason they can’t give a scare to Florida on Saturday, too. Hillinski’s health will be crucial because it’s hard to maintain the turnover luck they saw against UGA.” — Julian Mitchell

“Ryan Hilinksi’s prayer was answered.” — Mike McMurray

“What a huge win for the Gamecocks. I imagine this buys some time for Muschamp there. Easily one of his biggest wins since he assumed the role as coach.” — Chris Novak

6. Missouri Tigers

Average: 6.00 | 6th Place Votes: 10 | Last Week: 6th (<—>)

“Let’s hope the NCAA takes away their bowl ban.” — Mike McMurray

“Don’t look now... Mizzou is in the driver’s seat in the SEC East.” — Chris Novak

5. Auburn Tigers

Average: 4.70 | Highest Vote: 4th | Lowest Vote: 5th | Last Week: 5th (<—>)

“Great opportunity for a statement win to bounce back from the Florida game this weekend.” — Julian Mitchell

“Well, Auburn has Arkansas this week. So there shouldn’t be any slip up.” — Chris Novak

4. Georgia Bulldogs

Average: 4.30 | Highest Vote: 4th | Lowest Vote: 5th | Last Week: 4th (<—>)

“You may see an angry bulldog offensive line from here on out. I don’t think any unit in the SEC has a more bruised ego this week. Pray for Kentucky.” — Julian Mitchell

“Stock is down tremendously for Georgia. Their margin for error is now paper thin with a rigorous schedule awaiting them.” — Chris Novak

3. Florida Gators

Average: 3.00 | 3rd Place Votes: 10 | Last Week: 3rd (<—>)

“No shame in losing at night in Death Valley. They manufactured offense and still control their own destiny.” — Julian Mitchell

“They played real well, but couldn’t get it done when it mattered.” — Mike McMurray

T1. LSU Tigers (5)

Average: 1.50 | First Place Votes: 5 | Lowest Vote: 2nd | Last Week: 2nd (<—>)

“You can’t put them anywhere besides #1 in my opinion.” — Julian Mitchell

“It looks like their offense can’t be stopped.” — Mike McMurray

“I had them #1. They’ve beaten everyone in front of them and have beaten better teams than ‘Bama. This is highly contested though. It should be a fun ride the rest of the way.” — Chris Novak

1. Alabama Crimson Tide (5)

Average: 1.50 | First-Place Votes: 6 | Lowest Vote: 2nd | Last Week: 1st (<—>)

“I moved them to #2 because while they’re still being Bama, LSU’s body of work is simply more impressive at the moment.” — Julian Mitchell

“They just keep rolling. The defense doesn’t look too vintage, but the offense is so good it doesn’t matter.” — Mike McMurray

“They have no real glaring flaws. But... what will happen in two weeks time?” — Chris Novak
