The Auburn Tigers stunned this writer and several thousand people in the stands in Fayetteville. The Tigers romped over the Arkansas Razorbacks in a 38-23 victory. The win propels Auburn up to 5-2 on the season and 2-1 in SEC play.

Bo Nix stole the show on Saturday. He went 21-for-26 on pass attempts for 292 yards and two touchdowns. He did have one interception, but it wound up not mattering in the end. 11 different Tigers caught passes in the victory, with Shedrick Jackson leading the way with five.

Auburn’s run game couldn’t quite get it going. They did run for 135 yards but needed 35 carries all day to get there. They did find the end zone twice on the ground as Nix and Tank Bigsby each left the game with rushing touchdowns.

KJ Jefferson hung in there and did have a pretty clean game. He threw for 228 yards and two touchdowns — each to Traylon Burks — and no interceptions. He also ran for 66 yards on 18 carries. His best just wasn’t enough to beat Auburn’s best on Saturday.

Auburn will go into their BYE week happy. Arkansas meanwhile hopes to end an active three-game losing streak against Arkansas-Pine Bluff next weekend.
