The Ole Miss Rebels have fired Matt Luke. The news of Luke’s firing was first reported by Neal McCready of Rebel Grove Sunday night:
Matt Luke has been fired at Ole Miss, per sources. More on @RebelGrove later.

Luke’s tenure at Ole Miss lasted a mere three seasons. The team declined in record each year, as they went 6-6 in 2017, 5-7 in 2018 and 4-8 this past season. They also never won more than three conference games, as they finished 3-5, 1-7 and 2-6 in the last three seasons. Luke leaves the Ole Miss coaching position with a 15-21 record and a 6-18 mark in conference play.
The Clarion Ledger is reporting that there’s a team meeting scheduled for later tonight, which will likely make this move all official.
More on this as it develops.
