Michael Divinity Jr. no longer with LSU program

Well, this is intriguing news.

The LSU Tigers are now without one of their most productive defensive players.

Michael Divinity Jr. has left the LSU program for personal reasons. Head coach Ed Orgeron confirmed the news reported initially by Brody Miller of The Athletic.

In two seasons with the Tigers, Divinity amassed 66 total tackles, 12 TFL, five sacks, one interception, two passes defended, a forced fumble and three fumble recoveries. This season, Divinity piled up 51 total tackles, 9.5 TFL, four sacks and that aforementioned INT.

With Divinity now gone from the program, we can now assume that Andre Anthony will likely assume his role on the outside. Coach O confirmed as much and said that Ray Thornton is a likely candidate to take reps at that spot as well.

Whatever the reasons may be, we wish Divinity the best in resolving his personal issues and the best wherever he may land next.
