Tua Tagovailoa has likely taken his last snap for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
The star quarterback is reportedly out for the remainder of the 2019 season. Aaron Suttles of The Athletic reported the news of Tagovailoa’s injury, a dislocated hip with a posterior wall fracture, and his prognosis in a tweet on Saturday evening:
Breaking News: Tua Tagovailoa is out for the season with a dislocated hip with a posterior wall fracture, a person with knowledge of the situation tells me.

Tua had left the Tide’s game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs near the end of the first half on Saturday on a cart, and was soon airlifted out to a medical facility in Birmingham, Alabama. The Tide won that game 38-7, with Mac Jones filling in for Tua in the second half.
This is obviously incredibly disappointing news on just about every front. We wish the best for Tagovailoa and hope he speedily recovers from this devastating injury.
