The Mississippi State Bulldogs picked up two wins on the recruiting trail Thursday. Joe Moorhead landed the commitments of two blue-chip talents for his 2020 recruiting class. Athlete Lideatrick Griffin and wide receiver E. Jai Mason announced their commitments to the Bulldogs, giving them four players in the class as of now. The duo made their choices on Twitter:

Both Griffin and Mason are in-state talents from Philadelphia and Clinton respectively. They are also four-star talents who rank 3rd and 4th in the state. Only five-star defensive tackle MicKinnley Jackson of Lucedale and four-star athlete Jeremiah Pegues of Oxford are above them at this juncture. They rank 13th and 32nd in at their respective positions and 162nd and 199th in the nation.

While Griffin is listed as an athlete, he has played cornerback in his time in high school. There’s no telling what position he’ll play at the college level, but the 5-foot-10, 170-pounder will likely have to beef up a bit going forward. Meanwhile, Mason is a wide receiver who stands at 6-foot-2, 200 lbs. as he enters his junior season of high school. So he’s a pretty big guy already who has the build to make it from the jump.

With plenty of time to go, Mississippi State’s class ranks 17th in the nation and 8th in the SEC.
