The Tennessee Volunteers are now in the market for a new head coach.

Jeremy Pruitt is out as head coach of the Vols. The news of his dismissal from his position came from Pete Thamel roughly an hour ago:

The news also came with an added note. Phillip Fulmer, former head coach of the Vols and current AD, will be retiring from his post:

Now, if you’re a tea leave reader, you’d probably know by now that these moves probably have something to do with each other. The rumors and buzz around the Volunteer program for about a month now has suggested that things are... a bit of a mess.
