The Tennessee Volunteers are now in the market for a new head coach.
Jeremy Pruitt is out as head coach of the Vols. The news of his dismissal from his position came from Pete Thamel roughly an hour ago:

Now, if you’re a tea leave reader, you’d probably know by now that these moves probably have something to do with each other. The rumors and buzz around the Volunteer program for about a month now has suggested that things are... a bit of a mess. There’s a looming NCAA investigation, and it’s a wonder that things haven’t spiraled even further in the wake of that. But Pruitt appears to have been fired with cause due to that investigation. So, one should only expect things to get messier from here on out.
