Another Georgia Bulldogs stud is off the board.
Mecole Hardman has been selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2019 NFL Draft. The Chiefs selected Hardman in the second round with the 56th overall pick, giving UGA another player off the board in this year’s draft. He joins Deandre Baker in that department, as Baker was taken last night in the first round by the New York Giants.
Hardman showed tremendous versatility with UGA, showing an ability to catch passes and return kicks and punts. Hardman’s speed is perhaps is biggest attribute, and he should fit in with Kansas City’s offense. Patrick Mahomes, we figure, will have a lot of fun throwing him the ball.
Hardman is the fifth Georgia wide receiver to be picked in the last five NFL Drafts. He joins Chris Conley, Malcolm Mitchell, Isaiah McKenzie and Javon Wims in that regard, continuing a pretty fun streak for Bulldog wideouts.
Congrats and best of luck to Mecole in the NFL with the Chiefs!
