Another quarterback is off the board in the 2019 NFL Draft.
The Denver Broncos have selected Missouri Tigers quarterback Drew Lock. The Broncos used the No. 42 pick, one they acquired from the Cincinnati Bengals in a trade, to nab the accomplished Mizzou QB in the second round.
Lock was thought by many to be a 1st rounder for quite some time. However, the chips didn’t fall his way, as he didn’t hear his name called on Thursday night. But that being said, he didn’t have to wait too long on Friday night to hear his name called.
Lock joins former Mizzou star Shane Ray in Denver, and is now teed up to be the QB of the future for the Broncos. He’s the highest pick from Mizzou since Charles Harris, who was a first rounder back in 2017. He’s also now the first second rounder from the Tigers since Mitch Morse back in 2015.
Best of luck to Lock in the Mile High City!
