This Florida Gators draftee won’t have to go too far to proceed with his football career.
Offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor has just been selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2019 NFL Draft. Taylor was picked by the Jags after they traded with the Oakland Raiders for the 35th selection in the Draft and the third pick in the 2nd round.
Taylor’s the first player from Florida off the board this year. He’s joining former Gator Taven Bryan who was taken with the Jags’ 1st round pick a year ago. This is the first time since 2012 that a Gator had to wait until after the 1st round to be picked, as they had run six straight years with a first rounder. But that being said, Taylor’s certainly a quality prospect who should be able to shine with Jacksonville going forward.
Best of luck to Jawaan Taylor on the start of his pro career!
