Get to know Team Speed Kills' newest contributor, Tanner Dennie

Bringin' the heat one article at a time.

Joshua Lindsey-USA TODAY Sports

Suh dudes,

My name is Tanner Dennie and I am currently a senior at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where I am studying Telecommunications, focusing on Media and Society, and minoring in Sports Management.

I have always had a deep love and passion for SEC football and basketball, more importantly, the Florida Gators, along with all college sports in general. I marched bass drum on the University of Florida Drum Line for four years (2011-2014) and it was by far the best experience a true Gator fan like myself still can't fathom (True fans have tattoos of their favorite schools logo, right?).

Joining FDL was literally a dream come true for me due to the fact that I would get to support the Florida Gators through music instead of being your typical blacked-out college student that began tailgating at eight in the morning on game day.

Because I sat front row, beating my drum on Saturday's in The Swamp, I have had the privilege to travel to eight different SEC stadiums (13 stadiums total). To top it all off, I had was honored to travel with the Gator Band to London to perform in the 2012 Summer Olympics, which was by far the pinnacle of my eleven-year drumming career.

Not only do I consider my self a die hard SEC fan, I am also a die hard Real Madrid and United States Men's National Team supporter and have grown very fond of the soccer scene here in the United States and internationally. If you follow me on Twitter, you will more than likely see me tweet about the global game. A lot.

I am currently an Intern Recruiting Analyst for InsideTheGators.com and Rivals.com on the Yahoo! Sports Network, and I have also contributed to four different websites, where I covered college football, basketball, softball, and baseball, and I have also contributed for the ESPN850-WRUF radio station during the 2014 Spring semester.

I am looking forward to my journey with Team Speed Kills, and I am looking forward to meeting all of you.
