2016 College Football Playoff rankings: Second edition features Alabama at No. 1

The latest batch is out. Here’s what’s cooking.

The second edition of the 2016 College Football Playoff rankings are in, and much like the first go-around, the Alabama Crimson Tide are leading the pack.

The Tide are joined by the Clemson Tigers, Michigan Wolverines and now the Washington Huskies who have bumped up to the No. 4 spot in the rankings after being on the outside of the Top 4 last week.

Texas A&M merely dropped down to 8th despite a bad performance coupled with a loss to Mississippi State over the weekend. The Aggies are joined by Ohio State, Louisville, Wisconsin, the Auburn Tigers, and Penn State in the bottom half of the Top 10.

No other SEC teams find themselves in the 11-20 section of the Top 25. You’d have to go down to No. 24 and No. 25 to find the next SEC squads as the LSU Tigers and Arkansas Razorbacks comprise those respective spots.
