Speed kills. By now you already know we endorse that mantra, and so do the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders drafted Alabama Crimson Tide speedster Henry Ruggs III with the 12th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Raiders know speedsters and have drafted many in the past. So, needless to say, it’s not surprising that Vegas chose Ruggs. Derek Carr and/or Marcus Mariota will no doubt benefit from having a player of Ruggs’ caliber and potential on the roster. He had back to back seasons with over 740 receiving yards and racked up 18 touchdowns int he last two seasons as well. He finished his career at Alabama with 24 receiving touchdowns and even had a rushing TD, to boot.

We like to think that Ruggs will transition well to the NFL as the first receiver off the board. Best of luck to him in his new digs in Las Vegas!
