The Alabama Crimson Tide will retain one of their biggest offensive stars in 2020.

Najee Harris is sticking around in Tuscaloosa. The vaunted running back’s return to the Tide was first reported by Al.com’s Matt Zenitz on Wednesday afternoon.

Harris set career-high marks practically across the board as a junior. He ran for 1,224 yards and scored 13 touchdowns and added 304 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns to that line as well. All the while, Najee ran for 5.3 yards per carry and amassed 11.3 yards per reception and 6.5 yards per touch.

Harris’ return to Alabama is a little bit of a surprise, but he will nonetheless give whoever the quarterback is for the Tide next season a bit more ammo than expected. He figures to be an All-SEC selection and a contender for an All-American designation as well.
