The LSU Tigers wrangled the #1 tight end in the country on Thursday.
Jake Johnson of Oconee County High School in Bogart, Georgia is heading to LSU. Johnson himself made the announcement of his plans to head to Baton Rouge on his personal Twitter account.

Johnson had a host of schools offering him, as one would expect for the top tight end recruit in the nation in 2022. Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Penn State, South Carolina, and Tennessee are just some of the schools that offered him. However, LSU in the end is the one who wins this one out.
The Tigers’ 2022 class is bolstered with the addition of Jake Johnson. They rank third in the country in the recruiting cycle, second in the SEC as well behind the Dawgs, who rank #1 in the nation as of now. LSU trails Ohio State, which ranks second at this juncture.
