McGlothern is listed at 6-foot-2 and 180 lbs. as he heads into Baton Rouge later this year. Coming out of Klein Oak High School in Spring, Texas, McGlothern is marked as a four-star recruit on 247Sports. Their composite rankings have him ranked 33rd in the nation and 25th at the loaded position of cornerback. His commitment gives LSU three of the Top 25 cornerbacks in the country, as he joins 20th-ranked Lorando Johnson out of Lancaster, Texas and Elias Ricks out of IMG Academy.
McGlothern chose LSU over the Texas A&M Aggies, USC Trojans and Arkansas Razorbacks, among others. His commitment to the Tigers puts LSU fifth in the 2020 recruiting rankings and third in the SEC behind the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs.
