It’s been a busy-ish week in the recruiting world, and the LSU Tigers got in the news on Saturday.
Koy Moore, a wide receiver out of Archbishop Rummel in Metairie, Louisiana, committed to the Bayou Bengals. The news of the 2020 4-star wideout’s commitment came about after Moore made the announcement himself during his 18th birthday party.

Moore is the 23rd hard commit for the Tigers in the 2020 recruiting cycle. He gives them eight Louisiana recruits to this point, and five receivers at this juncture. He’s also the 18th player of at least four-star caliber to commit to the Tigers, as they have 16 such players in their class with two five-stars as well.
Moore is ranked 252nd in the nation in the 247Sports Composite Rankings in 2020, which is looking like a rather deep class. At wide receiver, Moore currently ranks 45th at his position. Amongst the pool of Louisiana recruits, Moore currently sits 9th. His commitment means that LSU has the 1st, 2nd, 6th and 9th-ranked recruits in the state of Louisiana in for 2020 at this time. They are looking to also land the 4th- and 5th-ranked recruits, Ashaad Johnson and Jacobian Guillory, too.
LSU is up to 3rd nationally and 2nd in the SEC behind, who else, the Alabama Crimson Tide in the 2020 recruiting rankings.
