The Florida Gators made a splash in the world of college basketball recruiting. Niels Lane has committed to the Gators, giving Mike White a Top 100 addition to his 2020 recruiting class.
Jake Weingarten was the first to report the news of Lane’s commitment.
Florida has landed the commitment of four-star guard Niels Lane, he told @Stockrisers. They offered him this year and stayed on him heavy. Dynamic guard who can do many things. Good addition for Mike White.

Lane is the third player in the 2020 recruiting class for the Gators, as he joins fellow four-star Samson Ruzhentsev, a small forward out of Chattanooga, and three-star Osayi Osifo of Cocoa, Florida.
Thus far, Lane is the best player in the Gators’ recruiting class. Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing in at 195 lbs., Lane ranks 84th in the nation overall, 14th at his position (shooting guard) and fourth in the talent-rich state of New Jersey. The Garden State’s 2020 class is headed by fellow four-star players Lance Ware of Burlington, Jabri Abdur-Rahim of Blairstown and his teammate at Roselle Catholic, Cliff Omoruyi, so he’s in good and well-established company.
With the addition of Niels Lane, Florida climbs up to 14th in the 2020 recruiting rankings. They are second in the SEC, standing behind the Kentucky Wildcats.
