For the first time in nearly five years, the Arkansas Razorbacks are back in the AP Poll. Arkansas jumped to #20 in this week’s poll following last week’s bombardment of Texas in Fayetteville. The Hogs put up 40 points on the Longhorns and made a big statement.
It felt like Sam Pittman would get Arkansas on the right track eventually, but to do it in such a quick time has been phenomenal to watch. Arkansas has been one of the nation’s best rushing teams this year, averaging 289 yards a game and recording eight touchdowns on the ground so far this season.
Georgia Southern has allowed just 132.5 rushing yards per game in their two contests, however Arkansas is the best offense they have faced so far.
Defensively, Grant Morgan has been excellent for the Razorbacks, taking home the Bednarik National Player of the Week award following his 13 tackle effort against Texas last week.
