Despite being without starting quarterback JT Daniels, the #2 Georgia Bulldogs took care of business against the UAB Bulldogs, winning 55-7.
Stetson Bennett played in place of Daniels, and went 10/12 for 288 yards and five touchdowns to no interceptions.
Brock Bowers led the way for Georgia with three receptions, two of which were for touchdowns, and 107 yards. Jermaine Burton added 92 yards and a touchdown of his own.
Four of Georgia’s first five drives ended in touchdowns, as UAB put up little resistance to the Bulldogs offense, which had to have been enjoyable for Georgia fans after last week’s defense-heavy game.
Defensively, Georgia held UAB to just 173 total yards and forced three turnovers, one of which was an interception that Keondre Swoops took 61 yards for a touchdown.
The Bulldogs remain in Athens next week and will host South Carolina.
