The South Carolina Gamecocks have sent plenty of defensive linemen into he NFL lately. That stretch continued on Thursday night, as Javon Kinlaw was drafted in the 1st round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Kinlaw was selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the 14th overall pick in the draft, a very nice destination for the hungry D-Lineman.
Mr. Kinlaw is a lifelong #49ers fan.

When @JavonKinlaw got drafted 14th overall, he was floored... literally pic.twitter.com/sGhKUyJDK2
Kinlaw was a force inside for the Gamecocks, racking up 82 career tackles and 10 sacks, along with 17 TFL. He’ll be joining a team that has had plenty of force up front, as he joins Nick Bosa and Arik Armstead on what should be a furious defensive line out in the Bay Area.
This pick obviously plays out very nicely for the Niners, who will be fetching a strong, strong lineman to add to their dossier of talented players up front. And for Kinlaw, it presents an opportunity to start his career off strongly.
