The Texas A&M Aggies took care of business on the road Saturday evening, cruising to a 48-3 victory over the South CArolina Gamecocks in Columbia.
As you may surmise from the score, the game was never particularly close, with A&M’s lead swelling to 41-0 with six minutes to play before the Gamecocks finally got on the board with a 48 yard field goal.
Kellen Mond recorded his second c areer four touchdown game, going 16-26 for 224 yards in the thrashing.
South Carolina didn’t seem to have much of a plan to stop A&M’s rushing attack either, as Isaiah Spiller and Devon Achane combined for 193 yards on 31 carries (6.2 YPC) and a touchdown, which was scored by Achane who also had a receiving touchdown on the evening.
A&M held South Carolina to just 150 yards of offense on the evening, as Collin Hill struggled to get anything going, finishing 8-21 for 66 yards and two interceptions before Ryan Hilinski came in.
The Aggies improve to 5-1 on the year and head to Knoxville next week to face the Tennessee Volunteers, while South Carolina falls to 2-4 and heads to Oxford to face Ole Miss next week.
