Another week, another victory for the Texas A&M Aggies. Led by Kellen Mond’s efficient 21-26, three touchdown performance, the Aggies pulled out a 42-31 victory over Arkansas to continue to take care of business and keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive. A&M will, of course, need an Alabama misstep to make such a thing possible, but if Mond and the Aggies keep winning it could certainly happen.

A big issue for A&M last week, though? Penalties. The Aggies were penalized nine times for an even hundred yards, and while it didn’t cost them the game, continuing to be penalized at a high rate certainly could have ill effects down the line.

South Carolina had the week off last week, giving them even more time to sit with the sour taste of a 52-24 loss to LSU on October 24. The Gamecocks looked like they were perhaps turning a corner following back to back wins over Vanderbilt and Auburn, but the LSU game showed they still have quite a lot to do to get to where they want to be.

Can the Gamecocks pick up another win over a ranked team, or will the Aggies keep motoring along?
