Mississippi State vs. Ole Miss 2020: Time, TV channel, watch online, odds

It’s the Egg Bowl!

NCAA Football: Mississippi at Mississippi State Matt Bush-USA TODAY Sports

WWE Survivor Series. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Egg Bowl. All classic Thanksgiving week traditions that couldn’t even be stopped by the powerful force that is 2020.

Despite not being held on Thanksgiving Day this season for the first time since 2016, the Egg Bowl is here and will be played as scheduled Saturday, as Ole Miss and Mississippi State are set to square off. This is the first Egg Bowl for both Lane Kiffin and Mike Leach, and while there doesn’t seem to be any bad blood between the two, the fanbases will more than make up for it.

How’s this for a storyline? Last year’s Egg Bowl pariah, wide receiver Elijah Moore, comes into this game as the nation’s leading receiver in both receiving yards and receptions. Kiffin’s pass-happy offense has done wonders for Moore, who looks to be following in the footsteps of DK Metcalf and AJ Brown as the next great Ole Miss wide receiver.

Kiffin’s Rebels are gaining the most yards per game in the conference by far (564.9), but Mississippi State has looked very solid on defense. The Bulldogs have struggled to get their offense going at times, but Ole Miss has been awful defensively. What will prevail on Saturday?
