Florida vs. Kentucky: Time, TV channel, watch online, odds - Team Speed Kills

The Gators and Wildcats are set to face off on Saturday.

After a rather disappointing showing in Week 12 for both teams, the Florida Gators and the Kentucky Wildcats will square off in a showdown that may result in another win for the Gators, keeping their 2020 College Football Playoff hopes alive.

However, Mark Stoops will certainly look to takedown Dan Mullen and spoil all hopes of a possible championship season. In 2018, Stoops was able to best Dan Mullen and a Feleipe Franks’ led team in Florida’s backyard.

A game that still haunts the Florida faithful, to this day.

But a lot has changed since their 2018 bout, as Kyle Trask has seemingly emerged as a legitimate Heisman candidate, helping the Gators jump the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC East after years of playing second fiddle to the team in Athens.

The Gators will also be returning one of their most-lethal offensive threats in Kyle Pitts after the junior tight end suffered a concussion and a broken nose against the Bulldogs, just a few weeks ago.

The Wildcats, thanks to injuries and COVID-related issues, will be trotting out a depleted roster, making the week 12 matchup that much more of an obstacle for Stoops.

Mullen, refusing to be fooled by pre-game assumptions, expressed his respect for the Wildcats’ past grit against Florida.

“... you know you’re always going to get their best when they come to play the Gators,” said Mullen. “We’ve got to continue to take strides moving forward, have a great week of practice and come out and perform at a high level again on Saturday.”

It looks as if the Wildcats must play their best football of the season if they want to have any shot putting yet another stain on a Florida Gator football season.

The divisional matchup will finally come to a head tomorrow afternoon.
