It’s #TuaTime in Miami.

The Miami Dolphins officially named former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Tua Tagovailoa their starter on Tuesday. Tagovailoa, who had gotten his first taste of action in the Dolphins’ win over the New York Jets on Sunday, had been biding his time while recovering from the injury he suffered last year. And now it appears that Miami is going forward with him in the future.

Ryan Fitzpatrick had been the starter for the Dolphins over the last six weeks. Fitzpatrick helped lead the Phins to a 3-3 record as their QB. But naturally, it probably suits the Dolphins’ interests now and in the future to roll with Tua as their guy. To Fitzpatrick’s credit, he’s publicly stumped and helped Tagovailoa and was even seen rooting for him on the sidelines when Tua saw the field for the first time on Sunday. So, it’s likely that there won’t be any scent of ill will due to this change.

Best of luck to Tua as he embarks on this new chapter!
