Wide receiver Christian Kirk announced via Twitter on Tuesday that he will forego his senior season at Texas A&M to enter the 2018 NFL draft.

Kirk saved his best game for last, when he hauled in 13 catches for 189 yards and three touchdowns in the Aggies 55-52 loss to Wake Forest in the Belk Bowl. He began the day with a diving 42-yard catch and added in a 52-yard touchdown catch in the first half Dec. 29 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Kirk scored his third touchdown by stiff arming a Wake Forest defender and then tip-toeing his way into the end zone in the second half.

In the third quarter, Kirk was rolled up on by teammate Trayveon Williams and left the game briefly with an ankle injury. He returned for the next drive and made two more catches.

Kirk finished his Texas A&M career with 234 catches for 2,856 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Here’s how he ranks among major categories in Aggies history:

  • 2nd all-time in receptions
  • 3rd all-time in receiving yards
  • 3rd all-time in receiving TDs
  • 3rd all-time in all-purpose yards
  • School record 6 punt return TDs

He is a projected first-round draft pick.
