He may not be ranked by ESPN or 247Sports yet, but Christopher Rodriguez has Kentucky fans and coaches alike excited after today’s announcement that he’d be playing for the Wildcats someday.

Rodriguez, a native of McDonough, Georgia, is a running back in the class of 2018, and he turned down offers from many other schools in order to commit to Kentucky. Some of the schools whose offers he passed up include Marshall, Troy (whose head coach is former Kentucky offensive coordinator Neal Brown), Mississippi State, and Ole Miss.
For Kentucky, Rodriguez is the 16th player in their 2018 class, which is currently ranked as the 17th-best in the country and 5th-best in the SEC.
