Mack had been released from his scholarship earlier this year following a suspension by the Longhorns program.
In his two years in Austin, Mack averaged 8.1 points and 2.9 rebounds per game while shooting 37.4 percent. He shot 45.9 percent in the 15 games he played as a sophomore, shooting 39.5 percent from the 3-point line while averaging 14.8 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.
Per NCAA rules, Mack will be sitting out the 2017-18 season but will jump back in the mix for the 2018-19 season and beyond.
