The Vanderbilt Commodores are going dancing.

After reappearing in 2016, Vandy was announced as one of the 68 participants in the 2017 NCAA Tournament. The Commodores are making their 15th appearance in the NCAA Tourney and the eighth appearance in the 21st century. This has certainly been an era of prominence for the Commodores, and despite the coaching change, Bryce Drew has been able to command them to the NCAA’s, following in Kevin Stallings’ footsteps (and despite losing by double digits to Mizzou!).

The ‘Dores finished the year 19-15 with a 10-8 record in conference play. They ultimately lost to Arkansas in the SEC Tournament semifinals, but were able to sneak their way in anyway.

When they take the court, Vanderbilt will be playing the Northwestern Wildcats in the West Region. They are seeking their first trip to the second weekend since 2007.
