For the seventh time in the 21st century and 31st time overall, the Arkansas Razorbacks are participating in the NCAA Tournament.
The 2017 field was revealed on Selection Sunday, and Arkansas received word that they would be partaking in the festivities. The Hogs went 25-9 this past season and made it to the SEC Tournament championship game before falling to the Kentucky Wildcats. The loss didn’t hurt them however as they still were able to attain an at-large bid.
This marks the second time in Mike Anderson’s tenure in Fayetteville that the Razorbacks are in the field. The first came two years ago in 2015 when they were a five seed, guided by the play of SEC Player of the Year Bobby Portis. They will be seeking their first trip to the second weekend since all the way back in 1996.
Arkansas is an 8 seed in the South Region, and will play the Seton Hall Pirates of the Big East Conference.
