After a recruiting battle between some of college basketball’s bluebloods, Hamidou Diallo, ESPN’s 11th-ranked player in the class of 2017, has committed to the University of Kentucky, choosing to enroll at the school for the upcoming spring semester.

Diallo, a 6’5”, 188 lb. shooting guard from Queens, selected the Wildcats over Arizona, Indiana, Syracuse, and UCONN, with the latter being Kentucky’s fiercest competition in the battle for Diallo’s commitment.

Kentucky’s 2017 recruiting class is already ranked first by ESPN and 247sports, with Diallo’s commitment joining those of fellow 5-star recruits Jarred Vanderbilt, Nick Richards, P.J. Washington, and Quade Green.
